The Barocco Hotel is housed in an elegant, traditional building. The entrance on the tranquil Via della Purificazione leads into the cosy, refined hall, which is attractively appointed with oriental carpets, sofas covered in beige and orange-striped damask, and trompe l'oeil walls depicting scenes of classical Rome.
The 41 guestrooms, spread over six floors, boast soft floral fabrics in shades of blue and red, cherry wood fittings, mirrors and precious marbles. Walls are decorated with 19th century prints and oil paintings featuring floral compositions, peaceful landscapes and Turkish-style scenes. All the rooms are clean and well maintained, as are the en suite bathrooms.
The breakfast room features elegantly set tables with damask tablecloths, which greet guests for a lavish and inviting American-style buffet. In addition to the usual items, there are the typical Italian cheeses, the selection of which varies periodically, thus giving guests an opportunity to enjoy the ample variety of Italy's regional specialities.
